As some may know, I have had a link to the Little Geneva website under the Moonbats category, and which I had labeled as "Clever Zionist Tricks." I am now removing that link because it appears as though the website has folded.

Whatever the reason, I am grateful that the number of attack web sites has now gone down by at least one. There have been some connections and affinities between these sites (Seabrook, Vance, Metzler, et al), and so this may have a broader effect as well. Let's hope so. The author of the site also stated that he wants to live at peace with his neighbor in the next phase of his life. I wish him well in that effort.

I strongly doubt we have heard the last of Little Zimbabwe. It is too easy to assume a different identity. That goes for the other internet assassins that have been exposed as well. The temptation to use the internet maliciously and anonymously is too strong, and the downside costs to them -- even upon exposure -- are too small. Of course, if someone can successfully sue them for damages . . . But at the very least, as long as this remains in our memories and collective consciousness, it will be a bit harder for them to perpetrate their frauds in the future.

Anyway, I praise God that he has used Matt Chancey and others to expose these works of darkness. I praise God that He has shown that He hears and answers the prayers of His people.

I too, wish to commend Matt Chancey for his team's diligence. Maybe he could package his methods up and sell it to the rest of us so that we can join in the fun.

As to Mr. Seabrook stopping his hobby, it seems that he now has a real life.

This is good. The air of the Web is a tiny bit fresher today.

May it also redound to the benefit of Mr. Seabrook and his family. Sometimes just being forced out of doing something harmful is enough to break a cycle and provide some clarity of vision.

I'm fairly ignorant of all that's going on with this, though I've been to that site as well as reading the postings concerning it here. Of what was Mr. Seabrook in danger? Based on what I read, his postings were offensive, but I don't see how they were criminal. If anything that's offensive can be silenced, doesn't that bode ill for even this site?

Libel, defamation, and possibly also incitement to violence at times. If a reader had, for example, wrought violence against a black/Jew/whatever, lawyers would at least make Seabrook's life, um, very interesting.

Problem for this site? Well, you'd need to clearly demonstrate our gracious host's reckless disregard for the truth, and despite "Pooh's" best efforts, I don't know that that's been done.

A bit of a confession from me; I visited LG from time to time simply because Seabrook's rants were hilarious in their illogic. My favorite ones were when he'd alternate between insulting Jews and commenting on his more or less kosher diet without seeing any apparent contradiction.

Yeah, I thought the Rushdoony connection was odd. Keeping the "mixing laws", kinism's supposed theological foundation, is a thoroughly Jewish distinctive.

In the New Creation the segregating wall is torn down (Eph. 2:14).

Oh well, bad theology is usually at the bottom of bad philosophy.

Pastor Wilson,

Have you ever been accused of libel or defamation? I recall you once writing that any culture warrior worth his salt is going to be labeled a racist.
David McCrory  Tuesday, January 16, 2007 8:34 am
I believe the difference between the person who rightly loves and desires to honor his ethnic and cultural heritage with no malice towards others and the person who unjustly hates his fellow man based on ethinic and cultural heritage issues is a matter of the heart which outwardly speaking, can look very simlilar.

There is another very interesting update at http://www.mrsbinoculars.com/ dealing with Little Geneva. The beliefs of Harry Seabrook are more complex than one might assume them to be. He has definitely done his homework in the Bible, although he has a fundamentally perverse hermeneutic lens through which he views everything. His one great non-negotiable is the prohibition of race mixing, and his hermeneutics are designed to ensure that particular tenet is incapable of negation. Even though I disagree with him strongly, I often wince at mischaracterizations of Seabrook's beliefs. I also wince when I see that some people who oppose Seabrook's ideas on race are themselves encumbered by serious misconceptions concerning race. Part of Seabrook's appeal was that he exposed the genuine stupidity and hypocrisy of a lot of modern thinking on race, and the modern world, including the modern church, gives him a huge target. Seabrook recognized some genuine problems but was unable to correctly analyze them or offer genuine solutions. I am glad that Chancey seems to have a better, more nuanced understanding of where Seabrook is coming from than many other obversers have manifested.

The next thing I want to ask is, why is Michael Metzler of Poohsthink reporting all these developments as if they do not also impinge on him? Chancey's writing refers repeatedly to Seabrook, Vance, and Epstein "shilling" for one another; if that is the case, then was not Metzler also "shilling" after a fashion for these folks every time he "reported" on the latest developments in the "scandals" that these online slanderers were orchestrating? If I was in Metzler's shoes, I would be pretty embarrassed by my role in all that shenanigans. I continue to hope and pray for signs of a change of heart on his part concerning all that.

But Chancey's attack piece is everything he accuses his victims of being-- gossipy and malignant.

If you can't understand your opponent, your criticism is worthless.

Even Douglas' statement really reaks. The "may" in "One account of why this may have happened" says it all: that means, "either this is what happened or it is malicious gossip (and who really cares which?)"

But Chancey's piece is really far worse. I'm quite sure he is not losing sleep at night because of all the people out there that might not be in full conformity to their employer's HR manual -- and a very PC and anti-Christian one it clearly is. The only conceivable motive for including the information about Harry's employer is to make Harry lose his job and become unemployable. And that is, let's stop mincing words, quite simply, murder.
Jane Dunsworth  Wednesday, January 17, 2007 1:17 am
Perhaps it can look very similar when one rightly honors his own heritage and when one unjustly hates his fellow man, but it doesn't look at all similar when one unjustly hates his fellow man and when one rightly and warmly gives honor, respect, and love to the brethren who are outside his immediate kinship.

I don't know whether Harry "unjustly hated" his non-kin fellow men or not for certain, but one has to wonder why he was so consistently unable to demonstrate that his love for them was genuine, when whether it was or not was constantly at issue. Maybe he was just really bad at expressing that aspect of his position.

Chris Witmer  Wednesday, January 17, 2007 1:31 am
Tim, even if everything you just said was to be granted, it would still remain that Harry Seabrook is getting no worse treatment than what he gave. I have been a regular reader of Little Geneva for a long time -- there were a few very good gems mixed in there along with his many turds, and some of it was genuinely entertaining if you didn't let yourself get enraged by the rest -- and I find Chancey's analysis extremely convincing. It jibes well with Seabrook's own revelations about "Frank Vance," etc.

And Tim, if Harry is free to discriminate on the basis of his conscience, Harry's employer is also free to discriminate on the basis of the company's conscience. Knowing what I know about Harry, if I was Harry's employer, I would fire him in a heartbeat, cute kids notwithstanding.

David McCrory  Wednesday, January 17, 2007 1:38 am
Tim is right. If the sins involved in this issue are as Mr. Wilson has pointed out previously, "malice and vainglory", how much malice and vainglory is there in calling someone's employer simply to "warn" others of someones religious convictions.

Let's all just admit it. We live in a nation with a double standard when it comes to the issue of race. Minorities have the right to express themselves in just about anyway they choose. There can be organizations, ministries, caucusus(sp), etc. all designed for the advancement of various minorities with everyones blessing. But let someone of the majority race say anything positive about themselves, and your immediately condemned as a low down racist.

The group known as "Reformed Blacks of Ameerica" has been heralded as a significant move foward in reformed thinking by many in the reformed community, and rightly so. I commend the work they're trying to accomplish as far as I know of it. Yet, I just wonder how long it would take someone to get excommunicated out of the same "reformed" churches who started a work entitled "Reformed White's of America". Probably faster than you can say SJC.
Douglas Wilson  Wednesday, January 17, 2007 1:55 am
Tim, my "may" was not a snarky dodge -- it was an application of Prov. 18:17 to this. In other words, that passage applies even to my adversaries. Something is not confirmed as true simply by virtue of attacking someone who has attacked me.

And David, one thing our nation desperately needs is a bracing dose of common sense and sanity on the subject of race. That being the case, the last thing in the world that advocates of this sanity should allow is for their position to be coopted by haters, or those rhetorically incapable of not looking like haters.
David McCrory  Wednesday, January 17, 2007 2:14 am
I agree Doug. What I believe has happend though is that anyone suggesting a positive view of the majority in this country is by default, a "hater". It doesn't take much to "look" like a hater in our nation. I could very well be considered by some a racist for the few comments I've posted here. Many of the forefathers of this country would be considered unPC in todays multicultural climate. Therefore the default position appears to be one of assumed guilt. It is understood there should be a cloud of shame floating over the majority. That has resulted in this ongoing apologetic for the majority rather than any real racial dialouge. This is the real tragedy. I agree the legitimate position can't allowed to be hijacked by less than honorable men, I'm just looking for a few honorable ones.

I am sorry, boys and girls, but someone needs to state the obvious. These inventive folks have all adopted the tactic of making someone else with a following part of their marketing plan. Matt saw that (Salut! How are the kids?) and communicated it very well, though in a highly nuanced and principled manner. Where would Pooh be without Blog and Mablog? The Austins and Peter without RCJr and the RPCGA? It's ALL Marketing 101 in the Internet Age. Sheesh!

The man who was determined to get the Kinist message out to the world now doesn't even want it to be retrievable from the Google memory hole.

Was there not a link to a story in the OP that explained why this site went down? What happened to that link?
