Editor,
I would like to make one small, but important, correction to the story you ran on the protest at the recent "Hate is not a family value" dance. I was quoted as saying that homosexuality is a sin, and that those who sin deserve to die. This is quite true, but a missing point, which I emphasized to your reporter, is that all of us are sinners, and hence all of us deserve to die. The Bible teaches that, in ourselves, no one is righteous.
As we protest the "mainstreaming" of sodomy, this is important for us to remember. We do not protest because we are good and they are bad. We do so because as sinners we need to admit our sin, and never allow sinfulness to become a ticket for special privilege from the government.
